Bottle from Great Grog. Hazy amber body with a thick off-white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of dried leaves and boiled sweets. Flavour of caramel and earthy hops. Medium body with a slick mouthfeel. Soft fizz. A decent doppelbock.

Clear dark brown colour, beige foam. Nose of caramel, some dried fruit, light roastiness. Sweet, fruity and malty with light hoppy notes.

"Silvator" aus der 1. Dampfbierbrauerei Zwiesel, Flasche (50 cl) vom Berliner Bierfestival. - Kupferrotbraun, klar. - In der Nase üppiges Toastmalz mit kräftiger Bonbonsüße, überreife Banane, bocktypisch füllig aber zugleich rund dank zarter Fruchtigkeit. - Antrunk schwer karamelmalzig mit fülliger bonbonartiger Malzsüße, satt malzig und zart rauchig (vom längeren Würzekochen?) mit einem Hauch von Lakritz. Leichte fruchtige Säure und reife Banane lockern die süße Schwere geschickt auf. Normal rezent, vollmundig. Im Abgang knapp ausreichende Herbe. - Tief malzig-süßer, etwas einseitiger Bock, dem es deutlich an Hopfen und damit an Tiefgang fehlt, was er aber durch originelle Fruchtigkeit ausgleicht. Sozusagen eine eingedickte Version des Zwieseler Dampfbiers. Nicht schlecht.

Mahagoni. Aroma is quince tomato smth rotten raisins. Taste is quince with the same rotten tanniny stuff. Undrinkable.

Sampled @ BKL 2018. A clear amber beer with a mid sized most good lasting off-white head. Aroma of reddish malt, caramelish malt, mild sweet malt. Taste of mild sweet caramelish malt, reddish malt, strong malt, medium bitterness.
