500ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours dark amber, clear, with a big off-white head. First beer I’ve had that really smells of boiled sweets. Like childhood. Far too sweets taste though, and a sticky finish. Not good.

Bottle @ Pivni Rozmanitost, Prague. Pours clear ruby golden with a creamy white head and lacings. Nose is alcohol, grain and caramel. Full bodied. Very malty. Warmth. Good Helles Bock.

(bottle) Clear, amber colour with a medium-sized and slightly tanned foamy head. Bready and hearty cara-malty aroma with earthy and leafy notes, accompanied by a touch of liquorice and a whiff of smoke. Sweet flavour with a tinge of bitterness, medium to full bodied with a calm carbonation. Cara-malt-character, earthy and slightly bready taste with liquorice-spice; sweet and slightly bitter hoppy finish with present notes of alcohol. Warming but still not too fat Doppelbock. 13.VII.11

Lahev z Pivoteky: Deep golden to light amber coloured, smaller stable white layer; restrained caramelly-toasty nose with a sweet fruity touch and suppressed herbal hops; modrate to solid sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied; swet and slightly bitter finish with fruity and hoppy traces. Well drinkable, easy going Doppelbock......

bottle, kindly donated by pivnizub. Deep brown colour, mid-sized, creamy beige head. Caramel, toffee, roasted malts, roast flavours, dark dried fruit. Very nice.

Wenig süßer Alkoholantrunk, der übermäßig trocken daherkommt, wodurch der Alkohol erstaunlich mild bleibt. Kaum aber immerhin etwas klebrig; spätre wird das Bier etwas würziger, der Verlauf scheint aber nur halbherzig. So sind auch die späten Gewürznoten nicht ganz stimmig und erscheinen oberflächlich, in Teilen zu süß. Im Abgang deutlich intensiver. Trinkbarer heller Doppelbock mit schwächen.

Bottle 50cl. @ home.[ Trade by Koelschtrinker ]. Clear medium to dark amber color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, fruity - berry, sugar, light alcohol. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, and a peppery finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090823]

Bottle 50 cl. Slightly hazy amber golden with an off-white head. Intense aroma of caramel and overripe fruit. Quite full-bodied, lots of malt and overripe fruit with sherry accents. Subdued bitterness in the finish but lots of alcohol. 270609

50 cL bottle. Pours almost clear and golden orange with a small off-white head. Wet cardboardish and light malty aroma. Mild fruity and malty flavoured. Light roasted and breadish flavoured finish with a distinct fruity note.

Bottled. Deep golden colour, small white head. Aroma is bready malts, alcohol, some wood and also mild bready notes. Flavour is quite much the same. A rather sweet doppelbock.
