(screw cap bottle) Clear, dark amber colour with a medium-sized tanned foamy head. Aromatic toast-malty nose with caramel and a vinous fruity note, also a light but distinctive herbal and almost flowery hoppy note in the background. Sweet flavour, robust toast-malty taste with shades of dried fruits, caramel and a light touch of liquorice; full bodied with a soft carbonation and a pleasant, well-matured mouthfeel; sweet, malt-accented and toasty finish with a soft but balancing bitterness. Quaffable and moreish Doppelbock.
