Odd 0.5l bottle with screw-top, Bier-Spezialitäten-Laden. Red-amber body with a medium sized beige head. Dry, sweet malty nose, dog food. Sweet malty taste, no alcohol, some hop bitterness near the end. Simple, ok enough, even if it’s not the most spectacular doppelbock you’ll run into. Funny label.

Bottled@One Pint Pub, Helsinki. Amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is caramel malts, some slight herbs as well as alcoholic warming notes. Flavour is mildly toasted, caramel malty and slightly herbal. Also rather raisiny and plummyish as it warms up a bit.

(Bottle at OPP German weeks ’09) Poured deep dark brown and clear with small white head. Aroma was dominated by stong maltiness. Palte was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The beer’s flavours were huge amount of malts, molasses, sweetness, bitterness and lightly chocolate. Aftertaste was roasty and lightly bitter. Alcohol was well hidden.

Dark amber color, small head. Strong aroma of grainy caramel, mature; light bubblegum. Good body strength, strong caramel aroma, some residual sweetness, it has a grainy and honeish touch, quite pleasant. The alcohol is warming up the final. Maybe too grainy, but quite good.

500ml bottle at Reading BF 08. Orangey brown colour. For an 8.5% beer, not bad and quite drinkable. Bit too obviously sugary, but nice stewed malt flavours nonetheless.
