The bottle looks really good, although I dont like that twist-off caps. Beer in the glass light brown, nice head. Intense malty aroma. Starts strong malty-spicy, not too alcoholic, fine notes of caramel. Nice dry background. Very well balanced finish, quite drinkable for its strengh. A masterpiece!

Bottle from McTapps, many thanks Sabine. Reddish brown color with small white head. Malty aroma with some fruity notes. Taste, sweet malt, honey, bee wax, hints of red fruits, light hops in finish. Alcohol is strongly present, but not in bad way. Good Doppelbock.

0.5l bottle. Amber body, off-white head. Lots of caramel in the aroma with grassy hops, toast and reisin. Taste is very similar to the aroma: mostly caramel, reisins and toast, but has some coffee and grassy hops too. Medium-full bodied, syrupy texture, low carbonation. Alcohol very well hidden. This is a really good doppelbock.

500ml bottle. Clear reddish dark copper colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Caramel malty aroma, cautious grassy hoppy overtones. Taste is moderately sweet caramel malty, some honey, treacle, dry hoppy counterweight. Slightly too sweet, lacks a spicy or roasty note.

Pours a light red-brown with a slight off-white head. Very nicely hidden alcohol and bit less malty and more bitter than similar Doppelbocks.

Geht in Ordnung. 7/9/10/10/11/10

19/03 A 0.5 l bottle from Bier-Spezialitäten-Laden, Berlin. Liked the label so much I saved the bottle. It poured copper body with medium sized brownish head. Caramel, brown sugar and very slightly fruity aroma. Flavor was also dominated by sweetish caramel, fruity, little bit of herbal bitter hops and touch of alcohol. Medium body with fine sweetish sugary and warming finish. Fine, although there are better doppelbocks.

Bottled 500ml. -Courtesy of and shared with Doggythedog/heavy who brought it from Berlin (thanks!)
Deep amber coloured, medium sized off-white head, malty caramel nose. Sweet malty, toffee and caramel with notes of hops and mild alcohol presence. Quite sweet finish. Funny label, average beer.
