Ale no. 16 er brygget på en original engelsk gær. Den blev brygget for første gang i 1995. I 1997 og 2000 blev den kåret som Danmarks bedste øl. I 2000 fik den en 3. plads på verdensplan.

Bottle @ Home. Pours ebony with a offwhite head. Aroma of caramel, roasted malt, light coffee. Taste is malt, brown sugar, caramel. Medium body, soft carbonation. Boring but drinkable. 150511

Clear amber with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty and caramel. Flavor is medium sweet and light bitter. Soft with a light bitter finish. 141109

Bottle. Dark reddish brown with a medium head. Aroma of strong sweet berries and some roast. Flavour is mild sweet with some caramel and jam. Finish is dry

On tap at Lord Nelson Copenhagen. Brownish with a small thick head. Nuts, malt, chocolate, spcices, caramel, sweet. An ok beer.

Draught at Lord Nelson Copenhagen. Looks like coke with a compact head. Cocolate, malt and spices. Smooth mouth feel. A bit like a Pannepot light

20091107 SE below + more info: AP: foam rocky and diminishing F: burned clayed sugar 20091002 Bottle 12 C, AP: Darkbrown Coca-Cola colour, high foam (hard to rate in a non transparant platsic glass) AR: Sweet honey, fudge F: Sweet honny, fudge, some bitterness Realy a very nice ale due to is sweetness and caracter.

Bottle, 50 cl. It poured an amber/brown colour with a small head. Should not drink too cold.

On tap at Orsted. Poured golden with a white head. Aroma had fruit and malt notes. Flavor is nothing special, doesn’t really live up to the aroma.
