On tap at Craft Beer Helsinki 2016. Black with a beige head. Mmmmm, nice mixture of hoppy and roasty! Licorice, tropical fruits, hints of pine and dark chocolate. Moderate to medium sweet with nice balance between the hoppy and roasty. Tasty, delicious and easy to drink. Nice one! --- Beer merged from original tick of Black Tide Black IPA on 30 Jun 2016 at 16:37 - Score: 7

(Keg at Mullikka, 20160317) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized, lightly brown and it lasted long. Aroma had burnt malts, dark chocolate and grassy hops. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, liquorice, cocoa, grass, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was burnt and bitter. A too burnt brew and the hops were too much in the background.

Tap at Winston Fest. Opaque black color, tiny off-white head, lace. Hops, caramalt, toastyness in the nose. Medium-bodied. Coffeish, toasted malty flavor. A bit grassy. Ok but stylewise not so well in the balance.

Draught. Very deep brown colour, close to black, with a mediumsized beige head. Aroma is floral, fruity, mild toasted notes along with a bit sweet malts to it as well. Flavour is sweet malts, mild toasted notes, quite big on the floral and fruity notes and also has some slight resiny notes to it. One of my most disliked beer styles, but this was actually quite pleasant.
