Bottle shared with the KL tasting crew. Poured a hazy straw colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is grainy sweet malt, honey. The flavour is moderate to strong sweet with a smooth big sweet honey palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Not a great example of the style. Simply honey water and way too light.

Tåkete ’eplejuicefarget’ . Lukter svakt av honning og litt krydder. Frisk med godt med kullsyre. Kommer mer honningsmak i ettersmak.

0.33l bottle, the batch - or lot number in this occasion is way too long that I have any chance to mem it. Well, it pours a cloudy almost dishwasher colored cloudy looking body. Bright pale - if that makes sense. No head. It smells decent enough. Really floral, slightly sweet and I totally get the honey. There's also apples in here. Apples and pear juices. It bad. Tastes quite decent also. Sweet, quite honey and floral in the taste. Mild oily in the mouth and not much bubbles. Like the sweetness as its it cloying but still really present. All in all a nice mead. 18.02.2017

Bottled 330ml (Vm Kirkenes)
Murky yellow color, no head. Nose has honey and toffee. Light-bodied. Honey, toffee, green apple in the flavor. Light acidic (like in green apple) notes. Ok easy fruity and flowery mead.

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - hazy yellow. Initially fizzy but it then drops off. Nose - honey and overripe melon. Taste - pineapple in syrup. Honey of course. Palate - medium bodied with a rich tangy sweet texture that continues through to the finish. However, it does drink fresher than most meads, possibly because of the low ABV. Overall - enjoyable. A really different style of mead. Light and very fresh.

Bottle from Cork & Cask. Hazy pale golden body with no head or lacing. Steady carbonation. Aroma of honey, straw and pear. Flavour of grass, butterscotch, alcopop and sugary water. Thin body with a watery, slightly oily texture. Soft fizz. It’s certainly interesting but it’s so sweet that I could barely finish the bottle.
