Rustbucket, our trademark Rye Ale, now has a big brother, Black Bucket. This Black Rye IPA balances rye and roasted malts with fresh hop aromas and flavours. At 6.5% ABV Blackie is a little bigger in strength than his lighter sibling but we think he is every bit as drinkable.

--Keg at Bar Rua, Dublin. -- Black, creamy mid sized head. Generous aroma of licorice, Black currant and chocolate. Mid sweet with medium to full body and well rounded mouthfeel. Licorice, salmiak and grapefruit on dark bread. Mid bitter finish. Thoroughly solid.

Can from Craftbeersdelivered.com. Black with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, roasted malt and moderate hoppy - fruity and pine. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. 110922

lattina 440 ml, schiuma color cappuccino fine persistente, colore marrone/nero, al naso intenso luppoli poi malto tostato mirtilli caffè note erbacee, in bocca malto tostato agrumi leggero caffè e una punta di tabacco, corpo medio/leggero, watery, carbonazione moderata, secca asciutta, amaro accentuato lungo nel finale. Non sono un conoscitore dello stile ma l’ho trovata ben fatta e buona. c. Cantina della birra 27.08.22

440ml can from Monster and Beer, Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a mostly lasting bubbly off white head. The aroma is grainy malt, light smoky, grassy hops. The flavour is moderate to strong bitter, with a dry, roasty, earthy, leather, wet grassy hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation. One of the best Black IPA’s I’ve had in a while. It had some body and was not over-carbonated.
