This is a NW Cascadian Dark Ale. It is a well-balanced, extremely hoppy black ale. Armored Fist is a collaboration beer brewed with the good ol' boys from Three Floyd's Brewing.

Draught@CBC2015. Coppery black colour with a mediumsized off-white head. Aroma is mild roasted notes, some floral and fruity notes along with grass. Flavour is toasted, some fruity, floral and mild resiny notes, mild chocolate malt pushing through as well. Also has some mild notes of alcohol sweetness lurking in the flavour.

Draught @ Mikkeller Bar Victoriagade. Pours translucent black with a frothy mocha head that leaves a small trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is slightly malty and fruity with roasted malts, burnt crisp bread, caramel, grapefruit juice, mango, pineapple, moist grass, pine needles, resin, coffee and lemon zest. Taste is sweet, bitter, slightly malty and slightly fruity. Mouthfeel is soft, round, slightly astringent, tiny boozy and medium bodied. Finish is sweet and bitter with roasted malts, burnt caramel, grapefruit, mango, pineapple, coffee, moist grass, pine needles, resin, lemon zest and hints of alcohol. Bit too sweet and a bit too strong but nose is top CDA stuff.

Draught sample at CBC 2015. Pitch black with a creamy, tanned head. Good looking. Roasted aroma with dark malts, red berries, citrus fruits, peaches, coffee, chocolate. Very pleasant. Taste is bitter. Full body with a creamy texture. Finishes lasting roasted with citrus fruits and chocolate. Excellent, Black DIPA.

Small glass, draught at Mikkeller Bar Viktoriagade. Jet black body, covering head, spotty lacing. Robust malt-fruity aromas, mid-sweet. Fine mixed taste of dark fruits and dark malts, woody. Roasted ending with hints of citrus peels. Well bodied with alcohol tingling on the tongue. Excellent (Copenhagen 30.04.2015).
