A traditional German-style beer made from a blend of barley and wheat malt. Originating in Bavaria, unfiltered wheat beer, also known as Hefeweizen, has long been a favorite in southern Germany. The strain of yeast used to produce this beer gives it a complex note and its distinguishing cloudy golden pour. Notes of banana and cloves add a flavorful fruity finish.

A hazed golden weizen with a thick frothy lacing white head. In aroma, classic banana malt with cloves and light mineral notes, light butterscotch, nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity banana malt with light notes of butterscotch, light cloves, silky mouth feel, overall, nice for my first Egyptian beer. Bottle from Drinkies, Cairo.

Bottle [thanks to my former neighbour Ad!) @ weekly tasting shared with Dutchdrebus. Hazy pale yellow color, full sized foamy white head that lasts for a long time. Smell and taste wheat, lightly grains, lightly yeast. Quite nice actually. Dislike the overly banana sweet weizens, so don’t really mind drinking this.

Bottle @ benzai. Hazy yellow colour with a medium sized white head. Smells pilsener, malts, cardboard. Tastes pilsener, cardboard. Nice. Thin to medium body, soft to medium carbo.

Very hazy blond with thick, foamy head. Strong aroma similar to a strong German pils but also also with a bit of wheat and rubber. Flavour is not overly sweet and has a light citrus taste.

Bottle shared by Ramy at tasting at my house. Pours cloudy gold with white head. Nose and taste of wheat malt and banana. Some grainy malt. Lighter than medium body.
