330ml bottle bought at Gulating Ølutsalg, Tromsø. A bubbly beige head over coal black body. Rings of lace down the glass. Grainy dark malts on the nose, slightly smoked, promising. Roasted malty flavours with grain and liquorice, and subdued lactose beneath. Smoothly roasted end. Likable. (Tromsø 08.06.2019).

Bottle. It pours a murky dark brown body with very little carbonation and close to no foam. The aroma is roasted and lightly burnt, bonfire notes too, with some earthy hints and a good dash of licorice. It's medium to full-bodied, with a very low carbonation level, not really sweet on the palate. Roasted malts, some bitter chocolate and charcoal, with licorice and molasses. A pleasant peppery, spiced touch joins in the swallow. Overall, a quite decent beer that would benefit from more carbonation. 190331
