Bottle (thanks kauge). Pours yellow-golden. Aroma is biscuity, fruity, citrus, mango. Flavor is sweet and bitter, fruity, citrus, biscuity, lemon, grapefuit. Finish is dry bitter. Overall: ok-ish, has the apa qualities i don’t enjoy.

(On tap @ the brewery, Jan 7 2016) Pours hazy pale good with a moderate whitish head and lots of lace. Aroma of fresh conifer boughs, grass, floral, Mandarin pith, grain, light sweetness. Palate is lightly sweet and mostly bitter with lots of grass, pine and citrus pith notes. Some faint underripe berry notes. A bit watery. Grain in the finish. Light to medium bodied with quite high carbonation. I usually like or love Bellwoods pale ales, but this one never really kicked off for me on the palate though the nose was quite nice.

Bottle: Poured a cloudy beige color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of dry malt with some citrusy hops and light bitter notes. Taste is a mix of dry malt notes with some citrusy malt and light fruity ester. Body is full with good carbonation. Interesting but hops presence was a little more subdued then I was expecting.

Bottle - Nice sweet citrus, touch of mango and mandarin with a touch of wet grass.Nice citrus with a touch of peel and pith. Creamy and slight yeasty notes. Interesting, but I honestly think I like 5 better.

So rating the final version of Jutsu. Enjoyed the process getting here, and I’m sure everyone had their favourite. This one poured a hazy gold without much head. Nose of hemp, cerial malts, citrus juciness. The taste doesn’t deliver the citrus wallop i wes hoping for. Citurs yes, but bigger "grassy" hops dominates with a lingering bitterness supporting a cereal back. Sigh. I loved J 2 and this isn’t it. But it is a good brew.
