Jutsu was created to embody all the elements of hoppy beer we love, in a most approachable format. It’s super aromatic, but low in bitterness, incredibly hazy, but light bodied, and strikes the perfect balance between juicy and dry. This pale ale is easy to drink, and easy to call a favourite.

500mL bottle, sent from wilco (thanks a lot, Mike), pours an opaque filthy yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of pithy, stone fruits, lightly dank hops and biscuity malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with lots of pithy stone fruits, citrus notes, piney and dank hops, and backed by dry biscuity malt. Pithy, juicy and citrusy, with light bitterness. Nice hipster pale ale.

500ml bottle (thx, Nick M.!) at Ilya’s. Pours a cloudy blonde with a white head. Aroma is crazy with loads of tropical fruits (stone fruits), slightly dank. Taste is similar, but not so intensive, though. Refreshing and super drinkable (c)

Keg at Brothers Beer Bistro, Ottawa. Murky deep golden, small creamy head. Huge passionfruit and grapefruit aroma. Dryish with light-medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Dominated by juicy mango and passionfruit. Distinct bitter finish with a slight resiny touch.

A heavily murky blonde ale with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, sweet citrusy fruity malt with resinous floral hops, pink grapefruit, light mineral notes, pungent and delicious. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with loads of citrusy floral hops, grapefruit pulp, tropical fruit, light silkyness, delicious. On tap at the Brother’s Beer Bistro.

Decent easy drinking pale ale. Pours hazy orange with decent head and lacing. Light bitter finish like a tinder match not answering your messages. Tap at brewpub.
