440ml can from Left Field Beer, Solihull and consumed in Malaysia. Poured almost black in colour with a short-lived frothy tan head. The aroma is roasty, big toffee caramel, fake sugar. The flavour is over moderate sweet, with a smooth, rich. roasty, liquorice, sweet toffee caramel, sugary lactose palate. Over medium bodied with soft carbonation. It was nice and I enjoyed it, but would not buy a second can due to the cloying sweetness.

440ml can. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma of toffee, caramel, chocolate - heavenly. Taste is very sweet, chewy toffee and caramel, milk chocolate, mild roast, light bitterness. Medium-full bodied, smooth, creamy. A shame they felt the need to add lactose but otherwise this was a pretty great adjunct porter.

On tap at The Dead Crafty Beer Company, pours jet black with a small dark brown head. Aroma is very sweet, with intense lactose, gentle roast and dark sugars. Flavour is full of lactose, dark sugars, and a hint of roast. Clumsy, sugary and lacking complexity. Not great.

Black beer, big tan head. Smell has the caramel and a lot of malt. Flavour has caramel and toffee, a little salt, chocolate, toasty malt. Nice rich body and malty finish. Lovely.
