MBCC. Hazy dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, dark fruit, dried fruit and bourbon. Flavor is very sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish with warming alcohol. 120518

Black colour with small head. Strong aroma, bourbon, dark malts. Excellent malt base, dark malts, chocolate, just moderately sweet, biscuity; well integrated bourbon, warming booze in the finish.

Opaque dark brown beer, decent pale tan head. Light bourbon nose, mild wood. Smooth palate, reasonable fine carbonation. Light malts, some sweetness but balanced by nuanced bourbon, mild wood and a trace of brandy. Modest spice and subtle brandy soaked fruits. Light semi dry finish. As always with these beers, layered and sophisticated. The only slight downside is they are a bit samey.
