Bottle bought at the Best Damn Beer Shop, SD in February 2018. Dark brown with a medium head. Aroma of bourbon, oak, dried fruit and some chocolate. The same in the taste. The body was full and the finish long with some warming alcohol. A tasty one.

Pours deep mahogany tinged black into a snifter. Mocha head with medium retention recedes to nothing. Dark hot caramel and chocolate covered pit fruit aromas. Soft with sweet caramel, rum and dried pit fruit upfront turning to vanilla, bourbon and espresso in the dry, lasting finish.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty chocolate woody bourbon caramel and dark fruit aroma. Slightly roasted malty chocolate woody bourbon flavor. Has a slightly roasted malty woody chocolate bourbon finish.

Pours very dark brown. Small, mildly tanned head. Smell is tad boozy, oak. Taste is full, tad sweet, oak, intense, mild boozy, chocolate, dark fruits, caramel. Very balanced, extremely sophisticated. Another gem!

MBCC. Very dark brown with small beige head. Aroma is malt, caramel, toasted, wood, bourbon and oak. Flavour is malt, caramel, toasted, oak, bourbon, vanilla, wood, warming, sweet with notes of alcohol.

355ml bottle. Pours a clear red-brown with a medium, creamy, short lived, tan head that leaves spotty lacing. Sweet, complex aroma of caramel malt, toffee, fig, raisin, prune, plum, molasses, brown sugar, dark chocolate, bourbon, rum and oak. Sweet, complex flavour of caramel malt, toffee, vanilla, dark chocolate, licorice, raisin, date, plum, molasses, brown sugar and oak with a dry, bourbon, rum warming finish. Full body with a sticky texture and soft carbonation. Awesome, lots of complexity. A world class American Strong Ale. This is a big boy beer, glad they switched to the smaller bottles.

Tap@MBCC 2018 Red Session, Copenhagen - dark brown coloured pour with beige head. Medium sweet and toasted malty, with some cocoa, some caramel and toffee sweetness, brown sugar, dark dried fruity shred, medium to full body, some lovely spices and bourbon coalesce into the warming finish. Lovely.

Flaska från SB. Mörk kastanjebrun, näst intill svart när den är upphälld, med beige krona. Doft och smak av bourbon, ek, romrussin, marsipan, likörpralin, rom, kolaremmar, kandisocker och lätt kokoston. Stor och lätt kladdig kropp med tydlig fatkaraktär. En del värme från alkoholen. Rostade toner i avslutningen, ligger kvar en bra stund i munnen. Bra som den är, men tror nästan den hade blivit än bättre om den fått nåt år till. Hur som, ruskigt gott.
