Our most anticipated Vintage Series release is back— XXI is a rich, chocolatey blend with smooth caramel, creamy malt, and a hint of island spice from rum-aged Helldorado. A perfectly balanced, evolving brew that’s best savored slowly.

Tap at CBB. Firestone Walker XXI 11.8% On tap at CBB, 850¥ a mini or you can get a bottle to go. Deep black with minimal head and a sweet aroma, the medium body gives you me lots of treacle and maple notes, some molasses brim sweet bun bread character. A touch syrupy sweet but good. Enjoy it while you can. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dark brown pour with a thin beige head that disappears quite quickly. Notes of bourbon - the characteristic FW blend - oak, caramel, toffee, spiced rum, sweet cherry jam, burnt caramel, light mouldy barrel notes in the background. Medium to full body, medium to low carbonation and a sticky-sweet finish. There smaller percentage of Parabola in the blend is obvious, and, compared to previous Anniversary blends, this one feels a bit too thin and lacking complexity, or maybe the subtle notes are covered by the excessive sweetness. A great beer, but not on par with previous barrel-aged releases from Firestone-Walker.

12oz bottle I love this size, I now can enjoy one on my own and not feel bad. Pours out a dark cola brown topped with a small head. Nose is great burnt caramel toffee barrel notes vanilla great. Taste is more of the sweet candy malts marshmallow vanilla barrel goodness.

12oz boxed bottle that included a laundry list of information about the beer. I thought that Firestone may have stopped that part with the transition to cheap 12oz bottles. But no, we still have the box and the extraneous information about the beer. Fortunately, I didn't pay for this but it was an Xmas gift. Pours with a small head that fades a bit quickly. Color is dark brown. Completely clear bottom of the bottle. Aroma is moderately strong. Has some burnt malts, a bit of soy, and light alcohol but generally light. Flavor is similarly smooth for such a strong beer. The burnt malt stands out most. Low hop, low burn, mild carbonation. So, it goes down easy, its not aversive but nothing standing out of interest. I can drink it but I don't need the all the fireworks (and price).
