Picture In Reverse is our 13.2% bourbon barrel aged Old Ale. We brewed this beer with a simple malt bill of almost entirely British Golden Promise then boiled it down for three hours to reduce and concentrate the wort. After fermentation with our house ale yeast we aged this beer for over a year in bourbon barrels to develop its dark color and maltiness with notes of caramel, vanilla and dark fruit.

Tap. Dark brown color with beige head. Aroma is vanilla, caramel, chocolate, so much bourbon. Taste is the same. Oily mouthfeel with low carbonation. Good and decadent!

Tap at MBCC2018, Copenhagen. Color is dark brown with almost no head. Aromas and flavours:Bourbon, ripe fruits, chocolate and malts. Heavy malts. Very heavy.

Small bubbly mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet mineraly, dark sugar, raisins, oak, mild bourbon, fruit stones, minerals, bark, caramel, chocolate, booze. Taste is sweet mineraly, dark sugar, raisins, mild sweet bourbon, caramel, chocolate, minerals, bark, oak, toast, hay, old rope. Medium, sweet boozy mouthfeel. Nice.

Sample at MBCC 2018. Poured almost black with a bubbly round off white head. The aroma is roasty malt, molasses, some cacao. The flavour is moderate to strong sweet with a smooth, rich sweet roasty, toffee chocolate, vanilla, warm alcoholic bitter palate. Full bodied with an oily mouthfeel.
