Decidedly dark, this beer has purple-hued reflections. Its compact, fine foam features a cappuccino color and the first olfactory notes feature cocoa and fruit; afterwards, lightly grassy feelings. It is sweet when tasted, as cocoa and coffee feelings join for an engaging and velvety bouquet, finishing up with a light, bitter, non-aggressive but lasting hop- induced taste. We drink it whenever we want to treat ourselves with a sip of hearty and aromatic beer. We advise to pair it with roasts, complex meat plates, feasts on grills, bologna or… chocolate.

Bottled@Pub Winston Festival. Black colour, brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, some toffee, ashes and mild notes of liquorice. Flavour is fruity, floral, some mild liquorice, ripe fruits and mild ashy notes. Tasty, and actually a quite nicely balanced Black IPA for once.

(Bottle, 0.33 l, at One Pint Pub, 20140920) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had burntness and liquorice. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, fruitiness, ash and bitterness. Aftertaste was burnt, ashy and bitter. A too burnt brew to be an IPA.

33 cl bottle @ OPP. Batch 07-2014, BBE 03.03.2015. Aroma has ash, licorice and some tobacco. Feels a bit stale. Flavour has licorice, some tobacco, ash and cold coffee. No off-flavours here, but a bit watery and too roasted.
