Bottle, supermarket purchase, from old notes. Poured dark golden with a small off-white head. Aroma of light malt, caramel, citrus, hops. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Moderate body, slight watery texture, soft carbonation. Fair.

28/9/2019. Cask at the Plough, Ipswich. Pours golden amber with a modest off-white head. Aroma of light malt, caramel, hops and fruit. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Moderate body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Fair.

Cask at the Lamb, City. Caramel and Malts. Light chestnut. Fluffy white head. Sweet and veg in flava. A tad bitter. Light-medium bodied. Alick. flat. Abrupt. BSB: big standard bitter. At least it avoided twigs.

Cask. Clear amber color with small grey foam. Aroma is toffee & fudge, light buttered caramel, a touch earthy. Taste is classic toffee malts, lightly earthy British hops, a touch bready grains, a tiny touch butter. Slick oily mouthfeel, flat. Classic Bitter with a touch more earthy hops.
