Smooth and satisfying, this example of an historic style of beer derives its rich, chocolatey character from a blend of Brown and Chocolate malts in the brew. Its notable coffee notes and creamy finish make it a wonderful accompaniment to many sweet foods – especially chocolate pudding. 5.4% ABV.

Very interesting and complex Porter. I’ll have to sample it again, because it was bb August, but then again it did not give me the sense that it lacks freshness. Pours dark brow to black, with small diminishing creamy beige head. Malty with tastes and aromas of roasted barley, coffee beans, chocolate and molasses. Not as hoppy. Balanced between sweetness and bitterness, dry bitter finish, fair lacing, medium body, dry fruits and chocolate tastes. Great for its kind.

Negra opaca, con 3-4 dedos de espuma ocre. Aroma marcado a chocolate. Buen postgusto. Muy rica como norma de la casa. Otra buena Fuller. De las mejores porter.

Dark brown color, with a small beige head. Smell is roasted malts, some coffee, earthy. Taste is first roasted malts, good ones, not at all too roasted but nicely balanced, coffee, some chocolate, even licorice and in the end it comes a nice bitterness from the hops. Good body, nice balance, very good dark ale.

Pours almost black, tan head. Smells of liquorice, espresso, chocolate. Good balance between sour and bitter. Thin body, early ending. Interesting metallic after-taste.

Dark black/reddish color with a thick beige head. Caramel and coffee in the aroma. Well blended flavor with dark malt, coffee, chocolate and some fruity notes. Whenever in England, I run for this one :-D
Lovely ale.

Bottle. Has a clear, dark brown color with a light brown head. Aroma is filled with dark chocolate, liqourice and some dried fruit and toffee. Flavor of roasted bread, liqourice, coffee, dark chocolate and leather. Has a medium body, and a light bitterness. A well-balanced, roasted porter with sweet undertones. Fairly easy-drinking.
