Elke fles is genummerd.

Bottle. Clear deep gold with an inch of white head that hangs around a bit. Aroma of old lemons, the laundry, yeasty crackers, almonds, brackeny funk, oak. Disappointingly hard texture but nice flavours. Fruity and bright with peach, old lemons, almonds. Medium sherry. Moderately sour. A little bitterness and a bit zingy at the end.

Rating #8000: 0.75 l bottle from 'Beerdome', bottled in 2019. Clear, golden amber with a medium large, foamy, quickly collapsing, white head. Slightly sweetish, sourish, quite fruity and gently funky aroma of overripe lemon, gooseberry, oak, horse blanket and traces of vinegar. Minimally sweet, gently sour, quite fruity and funky taste of overripe lemon, oak, gooseberry, hints of rhubarb, horse blanket and grapefruit, followed by a medium long, quite tart, rather woody-dry finish. Medium body, gently astringent and quite effervescent mouthfeel, lively carbonation. Lovely, extremely well-balanced Geuze, a typical Boon masterpiece. Super refreshing and fruity, dry but with a balanced sourness, very elegant. Frank Boon's apogee and another milestone for me.

Bottle, 75cl corked, at Jæren Ølfestival. An unclear pale orange colored beer with some white bubbles on top. The aroma is funky, with barnyard, leather, lemon and an earthy, wood touch. Some tropical fruit notes, peach, honeydew melon and a light malty touch. It’s full-bodied and tart on the palate, a bit heavy on the carbonation. Funky, fruity flavor, with some oak hints. Lemon, grapefruit, melon notes, a touch of tropical fruityness and peach. Lasting finish, funky and fruity. Perhaps a bit too tart and carbonated, but sure with a lovely funkiness. 220813

Bright yellow colour with lasting soapy head. Obviously Boon with it's dry, minerally, almost chalky taste. This one is particularly dry and crisp. There's an element of Granny Smith apple skin
