Had this at Elferhaus, Innsbruck, Austria 31.05.12 Pours dark chestnut with off white head, looks like cola. Soft in mouth, some candy, in fact a bit like them pink candy shrimps you had as a kid. Not much to rave about in fact I could take it or leave it, Boring with a capital B. A5 A3 T5 P2 Ov10 2.5

Es ist eigentlich ein dunkle Bier, das österreich-typisch sehr süß ist. Von Schwarzbier merkt man nicht viel. Die Hauptrolle spielen malzige und karamellige Aromen mit einem Touch Vanille. Hopfenbitter trittso gut wie nicht auf. Eigentlich kein schlechtes Bier, aber halt kein Schwarzbier.

Frothy white good mostly lasting head. Amber colour. Moderate malty slightly roasted moderate hopy aroma. Moderate hoppy notes. Moderate bitter flavor.

Dark brown with a lasting off-white head. Aroma filled with ripe barley and straw, with a bit of dark sugar and caramel. Sugary sweet caramel and treacle flavour with a faint roasted note and some raw grain.

33 cL bottle, courtesy of Papsoe. Pours dark brown with a small off-white head. Aroma is roasted and mild fruity. Dark malty, slight metallic and lingering fruity. Bitter and dry roasted malt flavoured finish.

Das Bier startet merklich süßlich, schnell kommt ein malziger Ton hinzu, der zum Mittelteil stärker wird. Dort ist die Süße nur noch leicht, dafür angenehm vertreten, harmonisch, leicht karamellig. Der Nachgeschmack ist weiter von diesem Aroma geprägt, das süßliche Malz kristallisiert sich nach und nach heraus. Leider ist im Nachgeschmack ein deutlich metallernes Aroma zu erkennen. Bottle. Fresh bitterhop and sirupyy aroma. Pretty chestnut colour with champagne carbonation and a creamy lacing brown head. Sugary malt base, very light body, a hint of hop balance but otherwise it stops here.

(Bottle 33 cl) Beautiful, clear amber with a creamy, off-white head. Distinct aroma of roasted malt. Very bubbly carbonation. Light-bodied with notes of roasted malt and no bitterness whatsoever. Starts nicely with a pleasant aroma but really fades. 151206
