From a bottle sporting a plastic pull-top type thing. Pours brown from the bottle. The frothy crown fizzes and makes a quick exit. The aroma lets you know from the outset that this is a malt-driven beer: sweet, earthy, with hints of molasses and caramel. Taste is exceptionally sweet with both roasted and medicinal notes. The finish is without bitterness and leaves you with a light syrupy sweetness on the tongue. This feels like a midway station between a sugary malt drink and a "proper" beer. The second disappointing brew I brought back from Austria from this brewer and, thankfully, the last.

(bottle, 33cl) Clear, dark brown colour with a medium-sized and slightly tanned foamy head. Ashy, grassy and sulfuric aroma with hints of dark malt. Sweet flavour, light bodied with a moderate carbonation. Dark malty, slightly leafy taste with grassy and subtle fruity notes; sweet and slightly sticky finish with hints of sulphur. Not satisfying. 23.VIII.16

pours a clear chestnut with a small white head and some lacing. aroma of grass, grains, very slight roast. I’m not sure I would have recognized that this is a dark beer by smell alone. flavour of milk chocolate, nuts, bread. sweetish finish.

Bottle picked up at spar. Pours out a cola color small sand head. Nose is sweet caramel roast malts and a touch of coffee. Taste is more sweet malts caramel and a touch of smoke.

330ml bottle bought at MPreis Mittersill. brown clear color. small tan head. smells grainy, some malty sweetness, honey, caramel, light milky smell. light body, quite bubbly carbonation, light mouthfeel. taste of strong malty sweetness, caramel, honey notes, syrupy / molasses, light acidic / citric. sticky / malty sweet finish. OKish, rather sweet.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein sehr dunkelrötliches Bier mit ordentlicher Schaumkrone. Geruch röstmalzig, erdig. Geschmack röstmalzig, sehr leicht schokoladig, Karamell.
