Test vom 14.10.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 8,11,11,12,10,11 - 10,80

Bottle 50cl @ home.Hazy murky medium to dark orange color with a large, frothy - creamy, good lancing, fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate yeasty, fruity, banana notes. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long to average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. 50 cL bottle. Wonderful aroma of banane. Seems to have clove and yeast. Hazy golden amber color with a huge, finely bubbled, beige head. Medium bodied, with light caramel, some banana, which is overwhelmed by strong clove, and then the banana and clove alternate into the finish. Which is banana, leaving clove notes all over the mouth. This is just fantastic stuff.

Bottle. Rich dark amber with an off-white head. Banana and light sweet malt aroma. Rich malty/wheat flavor with yeast and spice backing. Wheat flavor comes on stronger and lingers. Medium bodied.

(Bottle 50 cl) Dark amber-colour, rather limited head that vanishes pretty fast. Not entirely hazy, but not really clear either. Rather pronounced sediment in the bottle. Sweet, fat, fruity and the alcohol is well hidden. Rather nice. 260405

Re-rate from bottle. Dark cloudy orange, low head. Almond and raspberry aroma. Nice fruity spongecakelike base: Banana, vanilla, berries, caramel, light salt, a good wallop of hops cut through the sweetness and put in a dry herbal and citric finish - nice balance. Sparkly medium body. Spicy almond aftertaste. Very happy I tried this one again. old rating: 4 2 4 2 9 Dough, spice and dusty clove aroma. Cloudy dark amber, fine carbonation, surprisingly unstable head. Dusty banana and clove flavors, there seems to be a bit cabbage in the background. Feels light and is not nearly as chevy as an Aventinus. A rather disappointing beer from the otherwise good Hops brewery, it didn’t really taste as if the bottle was bad, but I think I will need another sample to be sure.
