Bottle share with Cloin on zug to Munchen. Pours golden amber with a decent off white head. Aroma is toffee, bread, dried fruit and grains. Taste is a boosty fruit cake with a sweet toffee and brown sugar hit that mellows out. Carbonation ok. Not bad.

Bottle: Light amber to amber coloured, no head to speak of; light mineralic-caramelly nose with a touch of burnt grain and honey; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied, a bit tart; dryish caramelly finish. Tastes like a DDR-Doppelbock......

Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. It’s a clear, copper to brown beer topped by a dense, small, beige head. The aroma has dried fruits, caramel, some alcohol and a faint note of anise. The flavor is a bit metallic in the end, as well as too alcholic, but it isn’t bad in any way. Caramel and roasted malts too.Full-bodied and slightly warming. Some beefstock in the end. A decent doppelbock, nothing extraordinary, but drinkable indeed, I guess it would be nice to have something to eat with it. 110416
