Cask at Hereward in Ely. Deep clear amber brown color, sparkler induced fluffy head. Lightly peppery caramel aroma. Taste is very sweet caramel with a lightly toasted edge. Light body. Sweet stuff

Fles gedeeld door Koenzie. Het is een helder amberkleurig bier met een medium schuimkraag. Het heeft een moutige wat fruitige en hoppige geur. De smaak is vol, moutig en caramel achtig met tonen van honing.

Pours a clear coppery amber colour with a small frothy off-white head. The aroma is malty and fruity, a similar taste. Sweet malts, caramel and fruity flavours with a moderate hop bitterness.

# 3083; 7/2022. Malty, fruity, caramel aroma. Clear bronze body, off-white head guickly disappeared. Malty, caramel, fruity, nutty, herbal, slightly vanilla. Very good old ale. Pint, hand-pulled, pub (Navigation), Newark, East Midland, England.

Cask at the Falcon, HWY, 20/05/22. Clear amber to copper with a good sized off white head. Nose is dried fruits, brown bread, herb, biscuit. Taste comprises dates, biscuits, stewed fruits, fruit loaf, nutty, dark malts, figs. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, light drying close with a modest bitter edge. Decent cask offering.

From tap at Champion, Kensington, London 12.12.21. Served without using a sparkler. Clear mahogany. Head is diminishing to nothing. No lacing. Appropriately uncarbonated. Aroma and taste of medium dark malt, brittle, bark, prunes, balanced with medium bitterness and subtle hops.

Bottle from my local grocery store ‘Loco’. Pours a very deep copper colour with a medium sized throthy off-white head. Aromas of caramel, toasty bread and spice. Taste has more caramel, toasty bread, peppery spice and some added dry dark fruits and biscuits. Some earthy hop linger the palate on the finish. Medium body, average carbonation and slightly oily mouthfeel. Not bad but a bit boring.

Amber ale with a bubbly off-white head and a very faint aroma of fruity malt. It's sweet and malty, pretty thin, with a mildly bitter finish and a hint of spice going on
