Draught @ Voxhall. Pours hazy dark brown with a small brown head, loads of small bubbles - almost like frozen cola. Very strange looking very sticky head. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, coffee, light spices, dried dark fruit. Flavor is sweet, spicy, roast malt, caramel, coffee, dried fruit, loads of warming alcohol. Strange and very sticky full mouthfeel, average carbontion that gets count in the stickyness, sweet finish with warming alcohol. Pretty tasty if you can see by the nasty stickyness. 120823

Bottled. Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is vegetables, acoho, raisin, roasted notes. Flavour is roasted, alcoholic, some mild metallic elements as well as wood. Raisins and some dried fruits with a wee bit of spiciness lurking too. Something wrong?

Tap @Luppolo Station in Rome-Italy. Dark roasted coffee bean pour with a tick brownish tick foam. Nose: deep chocolate aroma with a background of mocha, some milky notes, loads of toasty notes leading to burnt. Wow. Mouth: seducing mouthfeel, not obvious at all. Starts roast, rough a bit. Ends velvety round and a bit sweet.

330ml bottle. Jet black colour with slightly late awakening, small, thick, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, beige to tan head. Roasty, chocolately, dark and slightly caramel malty aroma, minimally nutty and woody overtones, notes of dark chocolate, couverture, hints of leather, whiffs of rum, blueberry, chocolate cookies, yeasty spicy overtones with a marmite touch. Taste is dry, roasty, chocolately, dark malty, minimally nutty and woody, slightly alcoholic, notes of dark chocolate, couverture, some leather, a touch of dark caramel, rum, blueberry; lingering, cloying, slightly warming, alcoholic finish. Viscous texture, smooth, soft silky, slightly cloying palate, fine and soft carbonation. Intense, heavy, condensed, focussed, integrated; not the richest Impy Stout however - very nice sipper.
