We are incredibly lucky to have the opportunity to hand select our NZ hops and we wanted to highlight our beautiful Motueka hops we get from @freestylehops in our classic oat cream style.

New England IPA with oats and Motueka hops by one of the currently most hyped hazy IPA producers in the world, can shared by Craftmember, cheers! Egg-white, dotty-lacing, medium thick head on a cloudy to even milky apricot blonde beer. Luscious aroma of passionfruit, ripe mango, even papaja, lemon cake, moist white pepper, stewed white celery, overripe onion hint, damp marijuana. Juicy-fruity, tropical onset, pitaya, mango and rambutan fruits with a peachy touch, soft carb, very light lime-like sourish touch; smooth, creamy body, doughy maltiness soaked in utterly tropical fruit-juiciness – all the passionfruit, papaja and mango returning, along with a soft citric edge somewhere. That ‘greenish’ stewed celery effect pops up again too, but actual hop bitterness remains very low; still this beer, contrary to many lesser NEIPAs, manages to avoid an annoying fruit juice sweetness to be the last impression after swallowing. Typical present-day NEIPA in all respects, top quality and very well made in its respective style – but I would not go wait in line for it either…

Can at the 2nd Lockdown Tasting, thanks to Dave, Watford Tahn 14/08/20. Hazed golden orange with a decent off white head that dissipates to a swirl. Nose is orange creme, grass, light weed, melon, trace of hop spice, pine needle. Taste comprises ripe pineapple, hint of lime leaf - a la Sabro-esque, weed, citric pith. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close closing with balanced juicy hop bitterness. Decent.

Pours a hazy, banana-smoothie yellow, with minimal head. Aroma has some citrus and grass. Flavor is a sprightly citrus, some lemon. Doesn't really taste all that much like an IPA to be honest. The mouthfeel is light and slightly sweet. There's just a tiny touch of hop bitterness to the finish. Interesting.
