Strawberry Shortcake is a tart ale made with Oregon strawberries. This is the strawberry version of our Zest Berliner Weisse series, the cousin to Blueberry Muffin and Key Lime Pie.

Tap at the brewery. Lots of strawberry aroma and flavor, and a solid soir backbone. This is considrably more sour than the blueberry beer i had first. Pink color. Good.

On tap at the brewery. Pours out a crisp clear pinkish rust color no head. Nose is sweet strawberry notes sour tartness and some vanilla. Taste is more of the nice strawberry vanilla sweetness sour pucker.

On tap at Great Notion, pours a clear bright reddish pink with a small white head. Aroma is just like a strawberry shortcake, with a perfect sweetness character. Flavour follows through, with medium sweetness, light tartness and of course, decadent strawberry shortcake. Really tastes like the cake. Lovely stuff.
