Dungeon Map is a West Coast-style India Pale Ale “loaded with heaps of Nelson, Strata, Mosaic, & Centennial hops.” Coming in at 7.2% ABV, Dungeon Map is “bursting with stone fruit, citrus, and tropical notes, and [the folks at Modern Times think] you’re going to be pretty into it.”
Dungeon Map is set to debut at all Modern Times locations later this week and will enter distribution in the near future. You can expect to find this new Year-Round offering available in 6-packs of 12 oz. cans and on draft at craft beer-focused establishments located in California and throughout the rest of the brewery’s distribution footprint. Can from Valhalla’s Goat. Clear golden body with a white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of lemon and grapefruit. Flavour of grass and lime. Medium body with a smooth texture. Light fizz. Crisp and hoppy.

One of the last beers I bought at Total Wine in Palm Springs a couple months ago. 12 oz can opened and pouring into a Buffalo Bayou snifter, I see a semi-transparent light gold body finished by a cover of snow white foam. I lift the glass for a sniff and get a nice amount of hops right away, tangerines and white bread. The taste is decent too, cedar pine, malt, grapefruit, some orange rind, honeydew, varnish and grain. Slightly sweet, more bitterness. A full sensation as I take a drink, good overall.

A dink pour (thx, Garett!). Appearance: clear pale golden with a white head. Aroma: a bit malty, some pine, crispy. Taste: along the same lines, a bit citrusy and piney, clean. Overall: good palate refresher.

Can from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours clear gold with a large foamy white head. Aroma of citrus/pine and something else. Med body. Dry. Bitter. Flavor is citrus/pine, grass/spice and green melon. Very nice.

18th July 2023, it's 94 Degree's outside and the air-con is blasting cold air into the lounge of my daughters place in Laguna Hills where I am on holiday. 12oz can into a Leffe chalice. Clean and clear golden body, Snow White blanket of foam on top. Tropical fruit nose and taste, some piney notes too. This is a very pleasant West Coast IPA and at only $1:99 (plus tax, etc, etc) in Trader Joe's (Mission Viejo) it's great value.
