On tap at Otter Creek, pours a hazy golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out lightly dank, piney and earthy hops. Flavour is along the same lines, with piney hops, some earthy notes and crisp biscuity malt. Piney and earthy, with a very dry finish. Good stuff.

Can pour into nonic pint glass from The City. Appearance is cloudy, greenish-yellow with no discernible sparkle, finger-width fizzy white head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is citrus over light tropical fruit, cracker malt. Taste is juicy tropical fruit with later citrus, lighter resin and slightly herbal bitterness. Palate is light bodied with thin texture, soft-to-average carbonation and mostly dry, lightly bitter finish. Overall, a surprising (but welcome) flip-flop of dominance between citrus and tropical fruit for aroma and taste; decent balance sweet and bitter; disconnect between thick, juicy appearance and thin palate.

Bottle from Market Basket Slightly hazy deep yellow and it foamed when I opened the bottle. Lots of citrus and juicy tropical fruits with hints of sweet bread and rind. Not bad.

Poured into a nonic pint glass, the appearance was a pale burnt orange color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that fell off at a decent pace. Sly lace.
The aroma had some citrusy zest, good citrusy hoppy bitterness, grassy hops and a little big of sweet malt.
The flavor blended it together somewhat nicely but kept that separated sort of taste between the hops and the malts as it didn’t seem cohesive enough. Sweet citrusy aftertaste rolling into the same sort of finish.
The feel was about medium bodied, perhaps just a tad under, pretty sessionable. Good dose of hop abrasion but not too strong along my tongue. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt appropriate.
Overall, nothing overly the top with this one, but it’s not bad when there’s nothing else around.
