Imperial Stout with Pretzels, Chocolate Sauce, Caramel, and Peanuts
Take 10 is a collaboration with Churchkey (Washington DC), originally brewed for their 10th Anniversary. Brewed with pretzels, and a touch of sea salt added on the tail end. We added Caramel and chocolate during fermentation, then steeped it on a fairly reasonable amount of whole roasted Virginia peanuts. Roasted peanuts give a lush aroma, with a balance of peanut, caramel and salt on the palate.

Tap @Basement Beer Bar, Aalborg. Black, beige head. Heavy dark malty aroma, coconut, peanut, licorice. Creamy, full bodied with a good boozy buzz. Bittersweet flavour, heavy malty with some sweet licorice, again a solid boozy hug, slightly sticky. Good.

Can.
A- Black color, black liquid, minimal head.
A- Salt, pretzels, chocolate, roasty.
F- Salty, pretzel, chocolate, roast, faint sweetness.
T- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, roasty finish.
O- So excited to finally make it to ChurchKey and I love Perennial so I had to grab this collab beer. Honestly, a bit too novelty and not quite what I wanted. Still good, but underwhelming.

From keg @ Oluthuone Haka, Helsinki. Poured dark brown in color. Nutty and creamy, cookie dough, cocoa. Smooth mouthfeel, more cocoa in flavor. Intense pastry but balanced and not too sweet.

Can from Gedeelde Vreugde. Cloudy black, small,, frothy, beige head. Aroma of chocolate sauce, biscuit, salt, 'caramel latte', salted peanut, almond, amaretto. Taste has sweet milk chocolate, sweetened fondant, caramel & biscuity with salty notes in the back. Herbal hoppy finish offering more bitter fondant, sweet caramel & flavoured coffee, warming coffee liqueur-like alcohol. Full body, creamy texture, average carbonation. Mostly a Chocolate Stout, salt gives the necessary balance here.
