Can from Tavour. Pours dark brown with a tan head that was an overflow foamer. Aroma of dark fruit, bourbon and chilis. Approaching full bodied. Flavor is the aroma plus some smokiness and more chilis. Not dry; not sticky. Not bitter, but all the strong flavors sub for that. Malt is rather burnt, but not excessively. Eventually some wood is detectable, and the bourbon turns out rather fine in character. Amazing how all the flavors work together. Except, I just now found raisins rising in the finish. This is really tasty ale.

.5l can from Tavour. Dark brown pour wuth ruby highlights, thin beige head. Aroma is boozy, sweet. Taste is pit fruit, Belgian yeast, raisins. The flavor is straight up quad and not ad boozy as the aroma. A little bit of warmth rises at the finish.

Bottle at Denver Rare Beer Tasting 8. Pours a dark copper with small beige head. The aroma is wood, yeast, pepper, spice, bourbon. Medium body, bourbon, wood, lingering heat from the peppers, very good.
