330mL bottle, pours a clear amber with a small beige head. Nose is of sweet treacly, caramel malts, toasted nuts, bread, and some honey-ish accents. Flavour is fairly light, with the same treacly caramel malts and honey notes dominating, but they are very weak. A bit of bread as well. Kind of sweet, but the body is not strong enough for it to come through much. Decent, inoffensive beer, but nothing special.

Draught in the cafe next to the Vienna City Hall. Quite dark Amber color, with a nice head. I wasn’t expecting a Vienna lager. It has a slightly malty aroma, but not a very strong one. It has a malty, slightly caramelly taste though not really sweet. Sightly burnt, dry, and hoppy. It’s very interesting. Dry, slightly burnt finish. It’s a really great beer, similar to the SiebenStern Maerzen. I had never seen beer quite like this from a major brewery here. Love it.

Bottled. A deep red beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel as well as lighter notes of straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and caramel, leading to a dry malty and lightly bitter finish.

(33cl bottle) Clear, amber colour with a short beige foamy head. Sweet malty nose with notes of caramel, marzipan and vanilla. Sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Malt-accented taste with notes of caramel and nettle-like spice; dry and slim, slightly bitter finish with a tinge of metal. Initially a promising brew but later a bit bland (11.XI.08).

Bottle I got at some supermarket in Graz. Poured a red-brown body with a small off white head that went away too fast. A strong sweet grainy, bready aroma with some light caramel promises a solid beer and it delivers. A flowery and caramelly sweetness on top a grainy chalky maltiness... woody and honeyish too. Very light aftertaste hop that stays a little in the aftertaste. A solid, nice Vienna.

50 cL bottle, courtesy for fonefan. Pours clear golden deep orange with a diminished white head. Mild roasted malty aroma with a light acidic note. Smooth roasted malt flavour, towards breadish. Again emitting a light acidity into a dry and roasted malty finish.
