Goldgelb, im Antrunk fruchtig-malzig, am Gaumen sehr entgegenkommend und leicht trinkbar.

Im Geschmack dominieren Getreidearomen. Feiner, hopfenbetonter Nachtrunk.

Smooth and malty beginning. Fresh. smooth with a nice and soft malty body. Lots of grain, round and fresh. Not too bitter, smooth with grainy caramel-malty aftertaste. Nice and easy to drink.

500 ml bottle from a supermarket.
Pale yellow, clear body, with a big, stable, frothy, lacing, white head.
Aroma of grains, grass, some floral notes, sweet malts.
Tastes of grains, grass, some bread, some floral notes, sweet malts.
Light, slick mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes soft, medium bitter, grassy, hoppy, a bit herbal.

Boring. At least clean and fresh, but much too light. As often in Austria it’s called Märzen, while it isn’t that different to a Pale Lager.

Tap at Wiener Bier Fest. Clear golden colour. Ice cold. Some astringency in taste, held back by the low temperature. Other than that there is almost nothing. Light DMSy. Not really a charmer.

Flute at Gosser Bierklink, Wien. Light gold color, thick whte head. Light malts, grass, straw, floral hops. Dry finish, light bitterness, light body. Simple, more a pils than a marzen to me.

Bottled, 0.50l. Pours clear pale golden with large frothy white head, fair lacing and almost flat appearance. Aroma is moderate grassy, grainy, with light caramel notes, also moderate herbal hoppy and with slight citrus notes. Taste starts with light sweet malt, followed grainy and grassy sour, felt a bit spicy in the mouth, while finish is strangely plain, while moderate bitterness arrives after a while. Medium body, dry texture and soft carbonation in palate. Didn’t expect much, got a bit more, so completely ok...
