Bomber from a random grocery store, 5/10/21. It was already out of date when I bought it, but, fuck it, it's a barrel aged eisbock, so what harm can come of its age? Upon opening the room is filled with a banana bread aroma. Clear red, thin head. Aroma of toffee, banana, nuts, booze. Taste is caramel, booze, plum, raisin, vanilla, dates. Full bodied, booze present but not bad. Warming. Alcohol is a little but too present, but it's still pretty good.

Taster at Bittercreek. Dark, clear amber, spotty head. Malty aroma, plain and simple. Taste is sweet malts, leather, tobacco, woody with a hit of raisins at the finish. Incredibly smooth for a high ABV beer. Probably an eisbock and not doppelbock as entered here.

On Tap. Clear deep chestnut brown with just a thin skin of tan bubbles. Sweet caramelized toasted malts in the aromas and flavors. Slich smooth and more sweetness. Very tasty, but I dont think it tasted like as much as the claimed 25 IBUs. felt like it needed a bit more. Very tasty
