Bottle from Beers of Europe.pours a clear gold with small white head. Malty bready aroma, some caramel, sweetness, light fruity resin. Taste is bready, grassy with a sweet floral resin. Fairly bitter finish. It's ok.

(Draught at Man in the Moon, Stockholm, 27 Sep 2024) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty, clean nose with bread, grass and herbs. Malty taste with notes of bread, honey, a touch of citrus, grass, herbs and a mild herbalbbitterness. medium body, with abtouch of sweetness. Clean and crisp. Nice one.

500ml bottle as Weltenburger Spezial Festbier, kindly shared by Finn. Fair white head over a clear late straw coloured body. Prominent pale malty aromas with a note of bread and herbs. Cereal malty taste, hints of white bread and distant spices. Rounded, mid-sweet malty ending. Medium bodied. Clean on the swallow. Satisfying. (Tromsø, 06.12.2024).

500 ml bottle, as Weltenburger Kloster Spezial Festbier, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 5.6%. Clear pale golden colour, moderate white head. Aroma of sweetish pilsener malts, newmown grass and floral and herbal hops. Citric mouthfeel. Flavour of herbal hops on a background of moderate sweetish malts, a fairly distinct hop bitterness in the dry aftertaste. Not bad at all.

500ml bottle bought as part of a delivery from Beers of the World and drunk at home. Light yellow/gold, clear with a small white head. Malty, slightly resinous aroma. Sweet taste, malt-led, some chewy resin here, leading to bright and lightly astringent bittering. Medium body and carbonation.

Bottle. As Spezial Festbier. Gold with a large white head that lasts pretty well. Strained grainy aroma with grass, some biscuit, spices. Feels strong rather than briefly rich. A little honeyed. Sweet but nagging bitterness balances.
