Half-litre bottle (as Spezial Festbier, at 5.6%), came from Beers of Europe: BB 8th Dec 2021. This was the fourth and final Bavarian beers of the afternoon on 29th May 2021. Lovely day in my back garden. I really enjoyed this. Clear golden body, white crown on top. Light malty front to the nose and taste, mild bitterness later; easy drinking and a pleasant way to end the session, three new rates and an old friend drank too!

50cl bottle from Alko. As Spezial Festbier. Poured clear and golden in color. Clean, grainy malts. Balanced and crisp. Light fruity hops, floral. Some dusty notes. Very drinkable. Felt more like a Helles though.

500ml bottle [as Spezial Festbier]. Opalescent, yellow-ish, golden colour with average to huge, thick, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Floral, minimally grassy and citrusy hoppy as well as pale malty aroma, a touch of lemon, white bread, whiffs of chamomile. Taste is slightly bready, pale malty, slightly floral, minimally grassy and citrusy hoppy, hints of white bread, white bread crust, whiffs of lemon, lemongrass, a diluted touch of chamomile, subtle sweetness. Slightly oily, watery texture, super soft and smooth palate, fine and soft carbonation. Well crafted, very clean - not bad.

Bottled 500ml (Alko web, ABV 5.6%) As Spezial Festbier. Golden colour, small steady white head and lace. Very light nose, some sweet maltyness. Light-bodied. Sweet malts, very light grassy hops in the flavour. Real no nonsense - suprisingly very not much going on beer for being from Weltenburg.

A golden beer, a head is big and blond. Aroma has pure maltyness, some grass and sweetness of honey. Taste has pure maltyness, some grain and grann. Medium bodied, even fluffy. Nothing special here, but so pure. Good beer.

Bottle from Beers Of Europe. Label 'Weltenburger Kloster Spezial Festbier' 5.6%. Pours a clear golden/yellow colour with a large thick throthy white head. Low carbonation in the glass. Very faint aromas of grains, hay and bread. Taste has light grains, bread, floral hops, vegetables, herbs, a little honey and medicinal notes. Medium body, low carbonation with a smooth slightly oily mouthfeel. Disappointing. i expected better from this usually very good brewery.

Bottle picked up from Edeka Getränkemarkt, Zolling and consumed at home sat outside in the garden llistening to Motherhood by No Joy Friday 21st August 2020. Pours clear gold with a white head. Malty nose but the expected robust maltiness in the mouth fails to materialise and in fact I am left a little disappointed. Ok it's a Fest' beer but it's a little bit thin. Fine but nothing special.

Bottle. Clear golden, fine pearling carbonation, fluffy lacing head. Light hayish malt with a solid grassy hop top. Medium light mellow body, some cake like malt sweetness. Restrained hop finish, ends on a slightly bla note.
