On tap at Block 15 Restaurant, pours a clear dark amber / chestnut brown with a small beige head. Aroma has plenty of toffee, some resinous hops, and a hint of toasted nuts. Flavour has bitter grapefruit rind, some resinous hops, dry toffee, and toasted nuts. Much maltier and hoppier than a standard amber, which is how I like it. Solid.

Sample at the brewpub. This brew pours a mostly clear dark amber color with a medium light beige head that dissipates steadily. Sheet of lacing on the glass. Sweet malt and hops in the nose. Medium body with a flavor that is equally hoppy and malty. The finish is malty up front with a short citrusy hops aftertaste. Above average overall.
