On tap at the brewery pours out dark brown topped with a small ring of a head. Nose is sweet tart cherries dark roast malts and some barrel. Taste is more of the nice sweet tart blend chocolate and plenty funk tart cherries.

On Tap at BitterCreek, Boise Black pour witha thin tan head and lacing. Chcolate and sour fruit in the aroma. Roasty, vinous tart and some more chocolate in the flavors. Quite deeply sour with a little smokiness in there as well. Good.

Nail pull at Alefort. Black with small airy head. Both the aroma and taste favor the kriek. Light amounts of chocolate , then sour cherries. Stout notes few and far between. Both the cherries and port barrels dominate.
