Poured from 375mL bottle (abv listed as 21.51%; 2023 vintage; barrel 1: ex-sherry whiskey; barrel 2: CO single malt whiskey. Thinking this should be a new entry on RB, but will leave that to admins in charge of Colorado. Very dark brown with minimal beige head. Huge barrel character, mostly whiskey, with feint sherry backing, boozy top end, but well integrated, some roast malt underlay, but mostly just a showcase of the barrels. Enjoyable.

Bottle from Tavour. Pours dark brn/blk with beige bubbles forming a ring. Aroma of whiskey (not bourbon) and pleasant wood notes - plus chocolate. Full bodied. Flavor of bourbon, dark chocolate, burnt malt and a light spice note. Not at all dry. Heat is hard to recognize - it hides. Not the most complex stout, but the flavors are firm and who needs complexity with such a great ale. Fantastic.

375ml bottle from Tavour. Pours out black and thick, small brown head fades to lasting ring. Aroma brings roast grains, chocolate and big boozy notes. Tadte is chocolate, mildly sweet, before the alcohol briefly obscures the palate, then on to a fudgy finish. ABV burns a bit, especially way down. This beer actually caused my cheeks to flush after just two sips. Potent, but smooth and delicious.

375ml bottle consumed a Christmas Day 2018 - Viscous black pour - nose and flavor of deep bourbon oak, chocolate, vanilla, spices, chocolate cookie dough - boozy bourbon cocktail depth without being cloying or overly alcoholic - they did a good job, all things considered.
