Number V in our barrel blend series. This time it became a blend of scotch and bourbon barrel aged barley wine and milk-stout. It became a thick and sweet stout with lovely notes of bourbon and scotch which turn into a warming coconut and vanilla aftertaste.

Sampled from bottle at "Hooghe Noorden Tasting 2025". Opaque black color, no head. Aroma and flavor are malts, soft toasty malts, softly sweetish, light liquorice. Soft carbonation, thick texture. I like it!

Slow, thick heavy sucker. Low carbonation, creamy, rich. Lots of tonka, medium bitterness, some sweetness. Whisky and bourbon aplenty, but without distracting from the label. Woody. Dark chocolate, heavy roasted coffee. Great balance, delicious blend.

440ml can, thanks Sten. Dark brown pour, quite flat and without much foam on the top. Nose has some chocolate, feels interestingly balanced, not too sweet and not too boozy. Well, boozy still, creamy cocoa chocolate. Tastes sweet, has caramel and some lacto roast mixed in. Quite interesting, cinnamon roll spices and sweetness, bit of booze there but quite balanced. Cocoa dust and bitter chocolate in the linger. Light roasted bitterness in the finish. Vanilla and cinnamon, booze warmth in the finish. Good.
