On tap at the brewery pours out amber brown color topped with a tan head. Nose is toast malts some sweet chocolate. Taste is more of the nice sweet malts roast a little coffee and dark bitter chocolate on the end.

Draft at Boise brewpub. Dark ebony, small skin of head. Roadty aroma, taste brings some serious chocolate to the party. Sweet, then bitter. Bitter, then sweet. Nicely done.

On tap at the Ram, Boise. Black pour with a coarse mocha dark tan head. Dark roast and sweet vanilla and chocolate in the aromas and flavors. Even though it’s very dark, it is easy drinking. A bit sweet and a decent final gravity making it smooth. Lots of chocolate and tootsie roll. Under bittered perhaps but very pleasant.
