Bottle at KCBD18. Caramelly aroma. Clear deep copper colour. Small frothy white head. The flavour is caramelly and nicely bready. Quite bitter. Well-balanced.

Aroma is citrus lemon pie with some toasty malt. Taste is stale hops with some hay and a stale grainy finish. Bitter and not so balanced. Meh.

Bottle. Dark brown color with beige head. Aroma is liquorice, earthy, chocolate. Taste is the same, very heavy on the liquorice. Oily mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Funny! edited

Pours amber/orange from the bottle. A frothy white head soon fades to a thin, whispy layer. Aroma is interesting for a Märzen, more floral than expected, accompanied by caramel and apricot. Taste is bittersweet with a mild, bitter finish that lingers, not altogether pleasantly. Body is light to medium with a mild carbonation. Okay but uneven.

Bottle, 0.33l. Aroma is grainy, grassy and a bit yeasty. Pours clear amber color with large frothy tan-like head and sparkling appearance. Taste starts with medium sweet caramel and toasted malt, following is grassy and medicinal, mouthfeel is crisp, dry and astringent, while finish is quite bitter. Medium body, slick texture and lively carbonation in palate. Not bad, although bitterness is relatively unpleasant for my liking...

Kalea Advent Calendar. Low key aroma: malt and yeast. Opaque dark amber. Thin white head. Light bitter with a sour edge. Malt. Even though it has some pepper to it it's still quite bland. Thin bodied. Light. Average carbonation. Slight astringent finish - this is where the pepper comes in and I do not find it pleasant. It's OK but lacks something. Non-descript.

Pours clear amber golden, topped with frothy white head, slowly settling. Quite yeasty nose and dusty. Taste quite grassy with yeasty character. Very dry finish with herbal aftertaste, sharp. Lighter body. Not the best.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, amber colour with average, frothy, osteoporosing, minimally lacing, off-white head. Sweet-ish malty and grassy hoppy aroma, hints of overripe apple. Taste is minimally husky, malty, slightly grassy, leafy hoppy, a touch of tea, minimally papery finish. Quite expressionless.
