Alle lieben Baldur, den liebreizenden, schönen wohlgeratenen Sohn Odins und Friggs. Er gilt als unverwundbar, da Frigg jedem Lebewesen das Versprechen abnahm, ihn nicht zu verletzen. Aber Loki weiß, dass sie den Mistelzweig vergaß und auf sein Geheiß tötet der blinde Hödur versehentlich mit dem Zweig seinen eigenen Bruder Baldur. Der Schmerz in Asgard ist unendlich. Die Götter versuchen mit allen Mitteln ihn aus Hels Totenreich zurückzuholen. Vergebens.
Er steht symbolisch für den Sommer, für Licht, für Wärme und die Lebensfreude. Sein Tod läutet den kommenden Winter ein. Aber seine Rückkehr am Ende der Ragnarök ist gewiss.
Wir widmen unser Märzen, dem Lichtgott Baldur. Es ist eine süffige Huldigung des Sommers, des Lichts und der Lebensfreude. Gehopft haben wir ausschließlich mit Pekko, ein komplexer, aromenreicher Hopfen, welcher nach dem finnischen Gott der Fruchtbarkeit benannt ist.

Clear amber golden color with a fine off white head on top. Good lacing. Ok intensity in the aroma. Medium body and an average carbonation level. Ok balanced sweetness versus bitterness. Caramel malty, mild fruity and herbal flavor. Ok easy drinkable lager.

And again thanks to Jan-Gerd and Kristall-König for that 0,33 l bottle. Pours out unclear amber, small white head. Some malt and low hop on the nose. Taste is mid malty, increasing hop in the second part. Low bitterness, low carbonation. Okay.

Bottle @ Home, courtesy of Rasmus40, thanks! Pours golden with an offwhite head. Aroma of malt, grain, hay, light fruit. Flavor is sweet, malt, grainy, hay-ish hops, light wood, light fruit. Medium body, lively carbonation, light sweet finish. 090417

Bottle 330ml. @ home. [ As Wacken Beer Baldur ].[ Trade by Rasmus40 ]. Clear medium orange amber color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, hay, pale malt, caramel, fermented malt, vomit notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration, sweet malt, caramel, yeast - fruity something ! fermented malt - mash - mesk. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20170219] 5-3-6-3-12

Bottle from the Wacken website. Hazy amber with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and light hoppy - grass. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. 130217
