Sampled @ BKL 2018. A very dark brown beer with a small beige head. Aroma of dark red fruits, raisins, wheat. Taste of sweet caramelish malt, dark red fruits, herbs.

Sorry, but this is no Italian grape ale - at least not taste wise. As a Belgian strong I actually enjoy it! But I expected a beer like the BB10. It’s really a nice beer but just doesn’t have the characteristics I was hoping for in an Italian Grape ale. Treat this as a Belgian Strong and then it’s nice.

On tap @ Artigiano in Fiera 2015, Milano. L’intensità olfattiva è normale e la persistenza olfattiva è sufficiente. Il cappello di schiuma a bollicine fini produce pizzo sul vetro. La sottostante frizzantezza è data da bollicine fini con carbonazione vivace, persistente ed insistita. L’aspetto del liquido è limpido. Il colore è ambrato carico tendente rossiccio, praticamente somigliante al colore del whisky. Il corpo è strutturato non pesante. L’amaro è medio. L’intensità gustativa è elevata e la persistenza gustativa è buona. Il gusto è piacevole. Le sensazioni boccali finali sono di facile beva e inducono a bevuta compulsiva. Il finale è felpato, lungo e pulito. Il retrogusto è intenso. L’aroma in bocca riporta sentori vinosi.
