Taster at Grav South. Dark amber, clear, creamy head. Aroma is leathery, tobacco and kind of smoky. More scotch than Belgian. Yeast an afterthought. Seemed nice and went downhill.

Sample at the taproom. Clear amber-bronze color with a medium off-white head that recedes gradually to a film. Patchy lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt, fruit and yeast. Medium body with flavors of caramel malt, banana and yeast. The finish is sweet with a roasted malt and toffee aftertaste. Decent overall.

On tap at Rose and Crown. Lots of caramel and very faint chocolate. A little viscous and the alcohol is prominently displayed. Crystal clear copper with a small white head that dissipates quickly. Taste is caramel and sweet. This is a very good beer. I would love to try it again after it has laid down for a while and develops some more complexity that it is certain to do.
