From tap at Hopwater Distribution, San Francisco. Aroma is malty with caramel malts, almost a bit buttery, pine resin, hops. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet with a firm and long bitter finish. Body is medium. Not bad but not really my kind of IIPA, bit too heavy on the buttery malts, bit low on hops.

Bottle from Bottle Barn. Light golden pour with skin of head. Aroma is light pine hoppiness. Taste takes over with a much more pronounced hop presence, bitter and sharp. Grains and malts lie underneath, but the piney hops lead the way. Bitterness lingers, actually quite stinging. Not the bitterest I've had, but up there.

50cl bottle pours with a crystal clear deep gold body that has copper hues and supports a tan head of foam. The aroma offers up soft tangelo and tangerine notes as well as a sense of pine hops, floral hops and a light biscuit maltiness. The taste delivers an interesting blend of tangerine citrus candy, a thin juicy cantaloupe and pineapple note right up against bitter pine hops and bitter floral. Toward midway the pine and floral hop near resiny bitterness joins up with thin bready to biscuit like maltiness. This has an interesting contrast of flavors as the candy citrus doesn’t play well with the near resiny bitter notes and maltiness. Still, this delivers a good load of fairly fresh hoppiness when the mood strikes.

On tap at Hopwater Distribution. Clear golden / orange coloured pour with a. Lasting uniform white froth. Aroma is nice sticky orange peel, pineapple, some biscuity grains, some pine needle. Flavour is composed of semi sweet little caramel, orange rind, sharp citrus, sticky hop resin, slightly chewy. Palate is semi sweet, caramel, sticky resinous hop, sticky. Hides the abv pretty well, assertive hop bitterness. Pretty well balanced if a bit on the sweet side.

22 oz bottle pour, shared. Thanks Keven. Pours a thick dark orange color with a big bubbly head. Huge hop aroma. Dry flavor, hop forward, orange, and a bitter hop finish. Definitely an imperial. Tastes as strong as it is. Dusty. A refreshing step away from the typical IIPA. Nicely done overall.

Clear orange-gold color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily to a film. Strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of hops, citrus and malt. Medium-bodied with flavors of piney hops, citrus and toasted malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a lingering grapefruit and hops aftertaste. Pretty good all around.
